BUYER Richard Blackbourne 75 Ingram Road Melksham Wiltshire SN12 7JH |
Complaint entered by the Redpumpernickel |

A few weeks ago I sold 2 mtrs of replacement wire to a guy called Richard Blackbourne for the bargain price of £1.00 per meter. I duly posted it
off, together with detailed wiring instructions and I sent him an e-mail
informing him that it had been posted. A week later I
had a message claiming that it had not been received. As it was posted
over the Bank Holiday Weekend and as I was off to Whiteacres the same
day I told the guy to wait a few more days and I would look into this
matter as soon as I got back from my fishing trip. When I got back
I sent him an email asking him if it had been received and when he told
me that it was still missing I sent another 2 mtrs to replace the
missing item and I sent him yet another message informing him that I had
sent out another delivery. A week later he
came back to me claiming that the wire had again not been received and he
asked me for his money back. I have been
sending out parcels for years now, the Post Office lost a few, that not
unusual, but to claim that two identical deliveries, sent out within the
space of three weeks had both disappeared had never happened before. Clearly there
was something amiss here. If the guy was telling the truth and if he
genuinely had not received them, than
there must be somebody at the Royal Mail who is intercepting the mail
looking for valuables. (they would have had quite a shock to find a piece
of wire). This had now
become a matter of principle. The value of the item was insignificant
and irrelevant but I wrote a letter to the Royal Mail explaining the
circumstances and I asked them to investigate this matter. To help them
I enclosed a sample envelope as I had used to send the wire to Richard Blackbourne
and in addition I
also told Richard Blackbourne
that I would refund him with the TWO Pound he had paid me as soon as the
Post Office got back to me and I even sent him a copy of my letter to
the Royal Mail for his information. Imagine my
surprise when I looked at my Ebay account and found that this rotten sod
had left me with a NEGATIVE FEEDBACK saying
“did
not deliver he says item lost in post twice”
Believe me, I
was fuming from my mouth. I gone out of my way to supply this guy and
what do I get for my troubles, a negative feedback on ebay. What a THANK
YOU. I also began to
think if his story was actually true. Can an item of post, sent to the
same address, get lost twice within three weeks. I don’t know and I
am having my serious doubts now and why did he suddenly want his money
back? If he was
telling the truth than the Royal Mail got a thieving postman and if they
don’t then he was not telling the truth. I was fully
prepared to refund him with the TWO POUND he had paid me, despite the fact
that I had already spent more money in postage,
I value customer relations,
but when I saw that feedback a shutter came down and I sent him a rather
strong message and told him that under the circumstances I no longer
felt obliged to keep to my word and if he wanted a refund to get on to Paypal
and ask them for it. I bend over
backwards and he f………. me in the arse, what an ungrateful b…………….. So watch this
space. Hopefully we will find out who is telling the truth and who is
nicking the post in Melksham. There is one thing certain, it wasn’t me.
I don’t need to sink so low
to fiddle a bloke out of TWO Pound. |
A NOTE FROM THE EDITOR This is a prime example of Ebay's twisted logic of withdrawing the negative and neutral feedbacks from sellers. In their wisdom Ebay decided that a seller can only leave a positive feedback or no feedback at all which, in a case like that, clearly puts the seller into a disadvantage as he cannot retaliate and put matters right. There is no way that a seller who has been unfairly and wrongly marked down by a buyer can put matters right despite the fact that the buyer is obviously not telling the truth. This makes a sham of the feedback system as it blemishes the character of a seller who has behaved impeccable and within the guidelines of EBAY So please Ebay let's be fair and let's treat both parties equally and not one sided and bring back a negative and neutral feedback option for sellers. --------------------------------------- Advert Looking for the best Meat Cutter on the market today then look no further.
