I PAID г200-00 FOR A NYTECH DIGITAL CAMERA ON
16-10-03 AT GRANGETOWN, SUNDERLAND.
WHEN I TRIED TO USE IT, IT WOULD NOT POWER UP. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE
STORE AND THE MANAGER SAID HE COULD NOT EXCHANGE IT OR GIVE ME A REFUND.
HE SAID THAT I HAD TO PHONE THE HELPLINE FOR NYTECH WHICH IS IN
GERMANY.I PHONED THE CUSTOMERS SERVICE OF LIDL AND TOLD THEM THE STORY
AND THEY SAID IT WILL BE TEN DAYS BEFORE I RECEIVE ANY REPORT AND THAT
IT WOULD TAKE ONLY 48 HOURS IF I SENT IT TO NYTECH.
I DID PHONE NYTECH AND THEY SAID SOMEONE WILL PICK IT UP AND SEND IT TO
THEM. THEY TOLD ME IT WILL TAKE 10 WORKING DAYS BEFORE I RECEIVE IT. ON
11.11.03 I RECEIVED MY CAMERA BACK.
WHEN I TRIED THE CAMERA IT WOULD NOT POWER UP AGAIN. I PHONED THE
CUSTOMERS SERVICE ON 14.11.03 AND ASKED FOR A REFUND AND I TOLD THEM
THAT I DID NOT HAVE ANY FAITH IN THE CAMERA. THE REPLY I GOT WAS
NO , THEY COULD NOT GIVE ME A REFUND AND THAT I HAD TO PHONE
NYTECH AGAIN.
THEY SAID SOME ONE WILL COME FOR IT AGAIN. THEY WOULD NOT GIVE ME a
REFUND AS IT HAS TO BE REPAIRED THREE TIMES BEFORE I CAN
HAVE A REFUND.
SO I HAVE PAID LIDL г200.00 FOR A CAMERA I CAN NOT USE. IT HAS TRAVELLED
TO GERMANY AND BACK TO ENGLAND. STILL CAN'T USE THE CAMERA AND IT IS
GOING BACK TO GERMANY AGAIN.
LIDL HAS MADE MONEY ON THE SALE. WHAT DID I PAY FOR?
A LOAD OF PHONE CALLS, г200 ON A LOAD OF RUBBISH OF A CAMERA AND STILL
HAVE NOTHING TO TAKE PHOTOS WITH.
PLEASE CAN YOU TAKE THIS PROBLEM AND TRY TO GET ME A REFUND BACK. AS I
DONT WANT ANOTHER CAMERA THANK YOU.

at their Head Office in London on behalf of Mr. Charlton and we have asked them
to look into the complaint and to contact him directly with
their findings.
