Bed Cover
 

 

 

 

 

On Xmas Eve I purchased a Bed Cover from Lidl Acocks Green Birmingham.
I thought the cover was £9.99, but it came up as £14.99. I thought never mind as long as I keep the receipt I will be able to return it. I took it home and found that it was too large, and wasn't what I wanted, I had purchased it because I thought being Xmas I may need it if a guest were to stay the night. I took it back within the hour. The cashier called the Manager to handle the refund.
He put his head around the door of his office ,and stated I couldn't have a refund unless goods were faulty, The way he did it I thought he was programmed I said I have just bought it, but he said it wasn't faulty, I said there is a long thread hanging from the cover, that could be called faulty He came out of his door to look at the cover, and stated it wasn't faulty enough. He pushed it back into the plastic bag, and it was all crumpled, to the way I had returned it.
He said it was their policy. I said where does it say that is the policy.?
He said UP THERE. I looked up, and saw a sign, among the price of goods, something about £10. It may have stated after £10 it was at their discretion. He said exchange it for another one. I said that is the last one. I had returned it today in case someone else may want to purchase it. He said I will knock £2 off. I said no, I will take it to the Trading Standards. He said DO THAT. He said I cant stop I am too busy. How rude. He needs reprimanding for rudeness to a customer.
It spoiled my Xmas I couldn't forget it. He just didn't care.

Whilst Lidl reacted quite quickly there was some kind of misunderstanding but in the end it was all sorted out and we understand that Lidl have now sent Mrs Sheasby a letter of authorisation to return the faulty bed cover for a full refund
