 Anti-social Behaviour

Anti-SocialBehaviour

I live next door to nuisance neighbours. I have been complaining to the Council for over two years. I was told they would be moved towards the end of June, but they haven't.

I wrote to Dudley Council and they sent me some diary sheets to fill in, which I have already done. I own my property and are so fed up I'm considering selling, which is unfair, as I'm still in my discount period and I am not the one being a nuisance.

The complaints I have made are as follows:

  •      Dog barking in the early hours i.e. 3 - 4 am

  •       Dog mess not being cleaned up for 3 - 4 days (the smell is disgusting I have to have a BBQ on the front garden)

  •       My right of way being blocked in

  •       Interference from their CB aerial which they installed without planning permission

  •       Assaulting my son and hitting him on the head with a pool cue

  •       Threatening me with a knife and constant verbal abuse

I do not know why Dudley Council will not take any action because they are obviously breaking their tenancy conditions.

 Could you please help

Dudley Council make a definite statement on their web site inviting the rate payer in Dudley to contact them and to discuss with them the best way of tackling anti- social behaviour, yet they seem to have done nothing about the complaints from Mrs Smith
Anti-social behaviour can affect anybody. Living in your own home without feeling threatened or being subject to noise nuisance is something we want every one of our tenants to be able to enjoy.

Loud music, barking dogs, and unreasonable behaviour are all anti-social and no-one should have to suffer from them. The Council does take this issue very seriously and will be keen to work with you to tackle any problems you may have.

If you are suffering from any form of anti-social behaviour, please don't hesitate to contact Dudley Borough Direct on 01384 818283 who will be able to discuss with you the best way of tackling the situation.

We have sent a copy of this website to the Housing Services of Dudley Council and we have asked them to look into this situation and to contact Mrs. Smith and to discuss with her the best way of tackling the situation. After all this is what they are telling us to do and we have to wait and see if they actually mean what they say or if this is just another empty promise.
