RESPONSE

It’s time to tell the whole story and the truth

I have just been left a ‘neutral’ feedback by ashley6687 which said

‘Could have been more accurate regarding item condition.

 Packaged with great care’

Naturally I was rather disappointed as I take great car in trying to be as accurate as I possibly can and I had another look at my description which said as follows:

 Sylvac Pineapple Shaped Vase

This is a very unusual and most attractive Vase from

Sylvac in a pineapple design

etc etc etc

It is in excellent condition with no apparent damages or blemishes

apart from some very minute underglaze grazing on the inside

It was a vase from the 1950’s – It had no chips or cracks and, as I do not sell new items in mint condition I considered this to be excellent.

Regretfully, ashley6687 thought differently and elaborated on his previous criticism with further additions

Water stains inside vase, blue underglaze marks outside. Should have mentioned

and he continued to say

Not down to buyer to guess condition!

TRY BEING HONEST - IF YOU`RE ABLE! - AWFUL

Thanks a bunch ashley6687

Just because I did not mention that a 1950's  vase had been used by

a previous owner I am being accused of being dishonest and awful ???

I will leave it to all you folk out there to decide and judge my integrity and my honesty but clearly I cannot see as to why I should have to tell a potential buyer that a  50 year old vase has got water marks from having been used

This is what vases are made for, isn’t it?

As for the blue underglaze marks –they are part of the manufacturing process

there is not much I can do about that

That’s how it was made and that hasn’t changed since it was brand new

SylvaC  stopped trading in 1982 so the newest items around

are now over 20 years old

Dear ashley6687

The next time you buy something old be a bit more tolerant

and don’t make accusations of dishonesty

when there was no intention of misleading you or anyone else

and please

don’t buy anything of me again

A very sad, disappointed, disenchanted and frustrated seller on ebay
